Israel Cross-Border Family Law

ICBFL · How it works

How it works

From your first question to a clearer next step.

A family matter involving Israel and another country can feel difficult to untangle. Start with a short description of your situation. We help organise the facts, clarify what support you need and discuss the appropriate next step.

What happens after you contact us?

01

Share your situation

Tell us which countries are involved, what is happening and what you hope to resolve. Include any known court date, travel date or other deadline. A short summary is enough to start.

02

Discuss your next steps

A member of the advisory team follows up to clarify your circumstances and discuss whether our support is appropriate. Tell us your preferred language, time zone and a safe way to contact you.

03

Agree the scope and fees

Before any paid advisory work begins, the scope and fees should be agreed. An initial request does not engage a lawyer or start legal proceedings. See our pricing page for the current service information.

04

Connect with independent counsel where appropriate

If your situation calls for legal advice or representation, we can discuss an introduction to an independent licensed lawyer where relevant. You choose whether to engage them; their services, fees and agreement are separate.

What to prepare

Begin with a summary. You do not need to upload passports, full case files or sensitive documents with your first enquiry.

  • The countries involved and where each family member lives.
  • A brief timeline and the question you most need help with.
  • Any proceedings already under way and known deadlines.
  • Your preferred language and a safe contact method.

Clear responsibilities, fewer uncertainties

ICBFL provides independent information and help planning next steps. Legal advice, court filings and representation are provided by independent licensed lawyers through their own firms. Your lawyer determines the legal options and any procedural steps.

Meet the advisory

Before you begin

Will the advisory team represent me in court?

No. ICBFL does not provide legal representation or create an attorney–client relationship. Any lawyer you engage acts through their own firm and under a separate agreement.

When do fees apply?

Review the pricing page and agree the scope and fees before starting paid advisory work. Legal fees are agreed separately with the lawyer you choose.

Can I start while living abroad?

Yes. Tell us where you are based, which countries are involved and your time zone. The initial journey can begin remotely.

Which language should I use?

You can start in English, French or Russian. State your preferred language so we can discuss suitable communication arrangements.

Should I send my entire case file?

Start with a concise summary and relevant dates. Further documents can be discussed after the appropriate next step and recipient have been established.

Ready to explain your situation?

Start with the essentials. We will discuss the appropriate next step with you.
